Dr. Alex McCormick, D.O., founded Infinite Horizons Behavioral Wellness on the principle of delivering personalized, compassionate, high quality psychiatric care. As an integrative Ohio psychiatrist, Dr. McCormick combines functional and holistic treatments with prescription medication and psychotherapy, depending on your goals, personal beliefs, and preferences. Treatment may include medication, psychotherapy, advanced lab testing, nutritional supplementation, mindfulness, stress management, coping skills, and exercise.
Dr. McCormick helps individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, substance abuse, and chronic illness. He works to be patient, practical, and adaptable to ensure a great relationship with his clients.
A skilled Ohio psychiatrist, Dr. McCormick has numerous certifications and years of experience. He completed his medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and a residency at The Cleveland Clinic. Upon finishing his training, he went on to lead a psychiatric consult service at a Level 1 trauma center in Dayton, Ohio, where he also established their ECT program. From there, he worked at one of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services regional psychiatric hospitals, caring for patients at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare where he developed expertise in caring for forensic and treatment resistant patients. During his time at both hospital systems, he provided clinical education to medical students and residents from Wright State University, Ohio University, University Hospitals, and Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Outside of work, Dr. McCormick enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the Cleveland food scene, and using live music as his ultimate outlet.
